Anyway, it was up to us to whip up some dinner. As we didn’t know what our guests would like, we hinted around as to what they wanted. It was then that I wished I had bought a spice rack to see what kind of meal would be best to prepare. There is nothing better than a large selection of choices when it comes to cooking. The moral of the story is that we now have some wonderful spice racks in our home. The next time we have guests, we will be prepared for them. I wish everything was this easy.

I have managed to return some of the gifts without anyone knowing about it. This is good as I have kept the peace in the family. The bad part is that I still have a few gifts that I don’t know what to do with. I guess I’ll figure it out in the end.

Dave has acquired many things over the last several years that he wishes to bring home. He is a very particular person and won’t stand for second rate service. We used to have these big parties when the kids were much younger, but they’ve all been doing their own thing in the recent past. My mom moved to Tucson a few months ago and we all thought it would be a good idea for her to get a dog. I’m just really glad we were all able to do something great for mom that makes her feel good again.

The best part is that everyone will participate. My son will be one of the grooms and my daughter will be one of the bridesmaids. They can’t wait for the big event. My daughter has been looking for something to wear that will stay within our budget. She has been looking for cheap bridesmaid dresses that she likes. We believe that we have found just what we where looking for.

Another aspect of the planning is the wedding invitations. These are very important as everyone will keep them in their scrapbooks for the rest of their lives. Having ones that are memorable will help them stand out against all the other memories that will occur. This wedding is sure to be one that will remain with us for a long time. I hope everyone will be able to attend and enjoy this special moment.

He said that the word boob also means someone who is dumb, and that they meant that people who watch TV are boobs for wasting their brain cells and time on stupid shows. I know there were several years when my mom did not watch TV at all. She said there was nothing interesting on the TV and that she would rather spend her little bit of free time doing something she enjoyed.

I don’t know – maybe it is a generational thing. I seem to always be able to find some kind of show that is interesting. I like a lot of the programs on the History Channel and the Biography channel. And sometimes there is a pretty good series running on HBO. Mae as I get older I will lose interest in what I’m watching now, but maybe the variety of shows and quality of the the programming has improved a lot since when my mom would have watched.

My roommate from last year just sent me this photo of him and his wife. I can’t believe that he is going to be a dad already. I know he was anxious to get the hell out of school and find a real job – which he did. And their wedding last summer was tooooo much fun.

So now he’s going to be a dad – looks like just about any day from the photo. The dude works fast – I’m just not in any of that kind of hurry.

I hope if you are a baby daddy that you find a way to honor the mothers of your children tomorrow. Even if you just help your kids draw and color a homemade card that says Happy Mother’s Day – at least do something to help the kids tell their mothers they love them. Better than that, take the kids to the store and let them pick out a small gift for their moms. Its the least you can do.
